“A wonderful host with amazing talent.
Such a peaceful and relaxing, yet out of the ordinary experience.
I would definitely do it again.”
– Jacinda

“A real treat! Alyssa was full of good advice but also great at encouraging everyone to find their own unique ways of interpreting the subjects (flowers and plants she’d picked for us before the workshop). We had so much fun and would recommend to everyone.”
– Lawrence

We’ll be having a look at the history of botanical illustration and get inspired with some example prints, and I’ll show you how to lay out a botanical illustration. I’ll help you choose a live plant or flower to illustrate in situ with fineliner pens, watercolour, or pencil, which you’re free to use and interpret however you like. I pick whatever wildflowers are in season at the time of the workshop, so the selection varies – you’ll have several options to choose from.

You can focus on one plant sample if you’d like to do a more detailed study, however you can also choose to do a couple shorter studies. After our drawing session, we’ll share and have a little critique.

“This was such a beautiful and unique experience. One for the flower lovers but also one for those who are looking for a relaxing and peaceful afternoon getting in touch with their arty side.”
